Tufted Titmouse

The Tufted Titmouse is a small backyard bird with a silver-gray coloring on its head and back. Its belly has a white coloring with a slight look of rust. These birdies have round eyes and short pointed beaks.

Cedar Waxing

Cedar Waxings have an interesting set of colors to them. Most of their body is a tan color, their belly is a light yellow, and their face has what looks like a black eye mask. Their wings have a recognizable red tip on the edges.

On their plate: These backyard birds love to eat fruits like strawberries, blueberries, and cedar berries.

Their favorite song: Cedar Waxwings don’t care too much for singing. Instead, they use short and simple calls.

White breasted Nuthatch

The White-breasted Nuthatches are gray with white bellies and a black stripe on their heads. The female White-breasted Nuthatches look very similar, just with a more grayish-looking stripe on their heads. These feathered friends also have a very pointy bill.

On their plate: These birds enjoy eating insects, seeds, and nuts. They also like to eat sunflower seeds and suet.

Their favorite song: Male White-breasted Nuthatches sing a set of notes in a low-pitched tune.
