  1. Clear out small area with hand (debris, grass, etc.) and step pole into ground using plate and foot holder.
  2. Attach hex extension.
  3. Apply downward pressure and turn clockwise, slowly. Stop turning once the pole won’t go any deeper or the bottom plate stops turning.
  4. Hand tighten the outer shell clockwise so the bottom plate snugs into the ground.
  5. Line the extension pole up to the base pole, and set it on top of it.
  6. Open the central hub by using the finger grabs to the right & left of the hinge.
  7. Keeping the hub open, place it on the pole at the desired height. Then release your grip. Secure by tightening the lock & pushing it into place.
  8. Add branches and a finial to your liking!
